Our client, a leading global investment bank has opened a brand new position within Equities/FX/Futures. They need to hire a mid level FIX protocol production support person.
Location: New York, NY
Type of Position: Contract
Located in the Midtown NYC office, this person will have exposure to traders and other users. Must have strong communication skills and the right personality to work a trading floor.
Technical skills required:
3-4 years FIX support experience
5-7 years production support on the trading floor
Exposure to equities products and how they work.

Our client, one of the top US investment banks, offering securities underwriting and trading, mergers and acquisitions advice, research, private equity investment, and risk management products, is seeking a 2nd level Support Analyst.
Support Analyst
Type of Position: Contract
Location: Raleigh, NC
Responsibilities:
2nd level support and DR of Equities Execution Systems. Primarily Exchange Links. Problem troubleshooting, root cause analysis and facilitation of both short and long-term solutions Problem ownership until resolution Issue prioritization and escalation Overnight and weekend on-call responsibilities In-depth problem analysis Planning, coordination and execution of production deployment of system upgrades and emergency bug fixes Functional testing of the system upgrades, as well as disaster recovery tests User training and documentation Bug fixes, and other development work as the workload permits for applications not assigned to development groups Provide 'Follow the Sun'support for non-Americas applications. Shift cover will be required(7:00am - 7:00pm)
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
2+ years of Exchange Links Support. Knowledge of FIX protocols Proficient in Unix, Windows and Sybase or Oracle environments - min 2+ years of experience. Proficient in writing SQL queries - 2+ years of solid experience on Oracle/Sybase Familiarity with Perl and Unix Shell Scripting Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Technical Support experience
Desired Skills:
HTML/ASP XML Sybase Oracle C++/C batch schedulers exposure (eg Control M) MQ Series Visual Basic Financial Markets - Equities
Personal Skills:
Excellent oral and written communications Team player Works well under pressure to tight deadlines Proactive Troubleshooting skills Methodical
